After fasting, I like to have something quick and easy (and healthy!) to ease into my day of eating. Smoothies are typically easier for us to digest because they’re blended (thus some of the work is done for you!) Instead of a high-sugar fruit smoothie that will begin your day on a blood-sugar roller coaster, consider this delicious green smoothie recipe. It features lots of healthy fats to keep you going until lunch!
- 1 avocado
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 small handful blueberries
- 1 cup spinach, kale, or chard
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
Add all ingredients into blender, blend, and enjoy!
