Basic Requirements for OECD Recruitment, 2023

Before applying for open positions at the OECD, please ensure that you meet the following criteria:

  1. You are a national of an OECD member country.
  2. You are under the age of 65.
  3. You are fluent in either English or French (the OECD’s official languages) and have knowledge of or an interest in studying the other language. (Note: Some job descriptions may have exceptions to this rule. Refer to Regulation 6 of the OECD Staff Regulations for more details.)

OECD Application Process

After the interview evaluation, Individuals not selected in the initial interview may still be considered for similar job vacancies aligning with their profile within the next two years. In such cases, candidates will be promptly contacted.

The recruitment process typically takes 4 to 6 months and involves several stages:

  1. Online Application: Interested candidates complete the job application form on the OECD recruitment site.
  2. HR and Hiring Manager Screening: Successful applicants’ names are published, and shortlisted candidates undergo screening with HR or the Hiring Manager.
  3. Written Test and/or Self-Recorded Video Interview: Candidates may participate in a one-on-one interview or record responses to designated interview questions.
  4. Panel Interview: Shortlisted candidates face a panel of 3-5 evaluators to ensure the most qualified individuals are selected.
  5. Job Offer: Following the entire evaluation process, successful candidates receive a job offer, including all associated benefits.
